HOW TO BET ON SOCCER
To place and win a bet, you must correctly predict the result of at least
one game, indicating if the game will be a home win, a tie or an away
win. To win a parlay bet each of your selections must be correct.
Keep in mind that all football bets will be settled on 90 minutes of play.
This includes any time added by the Referee in respect to injuries and
other stoppages. Extra Time, Golden Goals and Penalty Shoot-Outs do not
count. This means that for betting purposes a game can end in a tie, and
when that happens, only bets placed on the tie will be winning bets. All
other bets will be losing bets.
European prices work as follows: let's say the team you
want to bet on is offered at 4.00. That means that for every $1 you bet
on them, you get back $4 if they win. This would give you a profit of
$3 plus your $1 stake returned. If you lose, you lose your $1. If the
team is offered at 1.60 and you win, you only make $0.60 profit on your
$1 stake and you get your $1 stake back.
European prices are different from the the North American style of odds.
In North America, money lines are used to determine the line.
In North America, a team that is +140 would be a 40 point
underdog. This means that for every $100 wagered the bettor would win
$140. For this to be true in a European style of betting, the odds would
be 2.40 - meaning that for $100 wagered the bettor would win $140. The
2.40 represents the entire amount wagered and won by the bettor.
When calculating combination bets (parlays) using European odds you simply
take the price of each event that you wagered on and multiply them together.
For example, let's say you wish to wager on Arsenal at 2.5, Manchester
at 1.7 and Liverpool at 2.1. A combination bet of all three teams would
pay 2.5 x 1.7 x 2.1 = 8.93. If you wager amount is $100 then the payoff
would be $100 x 8.93 = $893 (this includes your original stake, so your
winnings are $893 - $100 = $793).
Rules
All football bets will be settled on 90 minutes play. This includes any
time added by the Referee in respect to injuries and other stoppages.
Extra Time, Golden Goals and Penalty Shoot-Outs do not count.
Bets taken on "first goal scorer" will be void if the player
does not take part in the game or comes on after a goal has already been
scored. Bets taken on "last goal scorer" will be void if the
player does not play or come on as a substitute.
If any match is abandoned or postponed, all bets will be void unless the
relevant market result has already happened. For example, if a goal has
already been scored the "first goal scorer" betting will stand.
